Just wrapped up 12 days in Japan — cherry blossom season in Kyoto was absolutely surreal. The key tip no one tells you: book the Arashiyama bamboo grove for 6am before the crowds arrive. Completely different experience. Happy to share my full VoyPath itinerary if anyone's planning a trip!

Lisbon → Porto → Douro Valley in 10 days on a shoestring — total spend including flights from NYC was under $1,400. Accommodation in Porto for €35/night was genuinely nicer than the $180 hotel I booked in Tokyo. Portugal is criminally underrated right now.

Yesterday
First solo trip as a woman and I chose Morocco — best decision I ever made. Fès medina is genuinely disorienting in the best way. I used VoyPath's real-time location sharing with my sister back home which made me feel completely safe the whole time. 10/10 would go back.

Northern lights forecast apps are mostly useless — here's what actually works: stay 30+ minutes outside Reykjavik, check the Icelandic Met Office aurora forecast (kp index 3+ is visible), and book accommodation with a hot tub. We saw them three nights in a row in February.

NYC for a week as a family of four — pro tip: the subway is absolutely fine with kids and you'll save a fortune vs. taxis. Museum of Natural History on a weekday morning is 45 minutes, same visit on Saturday is 2.5 hours of queuing. Also: the outer boroughs are where the real food is.
